Discussion with Oliver Stone: Japan and America's Untold Relationship


An international policy think-tank has been launched called the New Diplomacy Initiative (ND) which will spread information, propose policies, and work to move Japanese relations with the United Stated forward in the 21st century. Tatsuya Yoshioka Executive Director of peace boat is one of the organizing committee members of ND. Board members include a renowned journalist, Shuntaro Torigoe, and Tokyo University professor, Kiichi Fujiwara.

ND will be marking the launch with a symposium and fundraising party, on 11 August 2013 (Sun.), to which they have invited two-time Academy Award-winning film director, Oliver Stone. Mr. Stone is a prominent US American film director and will be visiting Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Okinawa on this occasion following the Japanese broadcast on NHK-BS of his recent documentary 'The Untold History of the United States'. There will be much opportunity to speak with Mr. Stone directly at the event.
