ACCJ kansai job!

The American Chamber of Commerce in Japan (ACCJ) Kansai Chapter office (Kita-ku, Osaka) is seeking to employ a person to coordinate and provide strong support for the administrative and logistical needs of the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon event on an hourly paid part-time basis for a six month period beginning immediately and ending in mid-November 2013.

The successful candidate will be a local information hub, be keen on learning how to successfully administer a large charity event, have solid quantitative skills, and maintain a customer service orientation. The candidate must be presently located in the Kansai area.

This position will start immediately and last for a period of 6 months. The number of working hours per month will be 60 ~ 80 on average. Working under the supervision of the ACCJ Kansai Office staff, the person selected to fill this position will work alongside the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon Task Force and attend monthly meetings to report on job progress, etc.

The ideal candidate should be cheerful, outgoing and be able to work in a small office environment. They shall understand and agree with ACCJ CSR views and the purpose of the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon event. They must be bilingual, native Japanese/business level English, TOEIC level 750+ preferred with good communication and writing skills. One year working experience in service related industry or equivalent with computer knowledge including Microsoft Office experience. They should also be a self-starter, able to work alone or at home.

The Project Coordinator position consists of but is not limited to the following duties:

a. Preparing all letters, promotional materials, etc. necessary for the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon event approved and ready to finalize according to the fixed schedule.
b. Approaching sponsors and confirming their commitment to sponsor the event – starting immediately and completed by end July.
c. ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon event Tickets printed and ready for distribution/sale by the last week of June.
d. Working with the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon Task Force teams to ensure that they remain on schedule to complete their tasks.
e. Attend the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon event on Saturday, October 19, 2013.
f. Producing and submitting the report on the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon event to all parties concerned by mid-November 2013.
g. Other items as required to successfully prepare for and complete the ACCJ Kansai 2013 Walk-A-Thon event.
