Actions
You Can Take: Women Preparing for Disaster
- a workshop on how women can better plan, reduce risk and respond when
disaster strikes.
Saturday
March 26th / 13:30 - 16:30 / Members ¥2000 /
Non-members ¥2500
March marks the fifth anniversary
of the Tohoku disaster. But five years on, how well prepared are we? Have you
considered how you as a woman might be impacted if a major disaster strikes?
What’s your plan in the event of “the big one?” Facilitator Sarajean Rossitto
will introduce some gender gaps that exist in disaster response as well as the
basics of disaster prevention and preparation. Following the presentation will
be an activity allowing everyone to deepen their ability to be ready.
Any proceeds from this event will
be donated to our community service partners, Mirai no Mori and Second
Harvest Japan.
